My 6 year old is not only an animal lover, but a stuffed animal lover as well and he was very happy to get this wolf! We have several wild republic stuffed animals and they're the best! The only negative I can even come up with on this particular stuffed animal is that his wolf sheds it's "fur" a lot! I'll probably get a lint roller and go over the "fur" and I believe that should help! It really is a fun gift for kids! We got it when it was marked down about half price, because I wouldn't purchase it for 100 dollars. If you see it go on sale, take advantage!It's perfect. It's about the size of my dog (she's a English chocolate lab). It is a good size, and was a bit larger than I was expecting. It is the perfect size for cuddling. It is very lifelike, and it looks like a real wolf. I love the way its front paws curve ever so slightly. If you hold it up to you, its like it's giving you a hug.The fur sheds a tiny bit, but not much. So I combed it a bit and now its not shedding. The seams look good, and they look like they'll last a long time. It is made very well, with quality craftsmanship.Here it is next to my dog for scale. For reference, she weighs about 65 pounds.I highly recommend this wolf.My 9!yr old loves this stuffed animal! Her big sister thought it was a real dog/wolf when she first saw it from a distance and it even “sheds” fur a little like a live animal. Wolfie has held up extremely well considering he is picked up and moved around a couple of times every day (when we make the bed).He has had his fair share of hugs, our dogs lie next to him sometimes, he is used as a pillow and a foot rest...small children have occasionally assaulted him as they do, and yet he is still in great condition, still looks cute and has been perfectly well behaved during this time too! See pics below for how he looks as a five year old!He is soft and yet as you can see, has held his shape well, and while he isn't cheap, he also doesn't feel cheap either, and should last a long time as long as he is looked after.Thoroughly recommended!This wolf is amazing.The face is very wolf-like and is very balanced, ie no squashed nose or odd dents. The fur is very thick and soft. I didn't notice any fur loss when I checked the wolf on delivery, but as the fur is quite long, I'm sure there will be a slight loss which is normal.The wolf is lying down in a very relaxed position. The body and legs are well stuffed to keep the shape, but still squishy enough to be huggable. The details are amazing and it even has dew claws.We have quite a few wild republic soft toys and we love the quality of them, but this is amazing.My daughter is having this as a Christmas gift, and I know she will love this wolf.It's a whopper - nice and big but it smells a little strange, like it literally came from a zoo, maybe just the warehouse. It's not super-soft like a cuddly kids toy, it's hair feels like it's from a real animal. I wish the hair was a little softer, i've had to vacuum out the loose bits, but this can be washed in a (big) machine, so it's hardy and durable. My long-haired dachshund absolutely loves it and struggles to carry it from room to room, this should last him a while. Recommended, Buy It!I'm very pleased with what I've bought. Alpha looks just like a wolf, not a husky or any "wolf-like" dog. Yes he does shed A BIT as in if you stroke him a tiny bit of fur will come off but it's no big issue. He's not super soft, wish he's floppier but he's equally great in this way.I love the fact that he has dew claws on his front legs, if there's one thing to add though I would go for toe beans. Claws are felt, there's nothing hard or anything on him so he's excellent for a cuddle.When I'm attending my uni lectures, Alpha keeps me warm. So when everyone else has their dog or cat on camera, I have my Alpha wolf chilling in my arms. ? ? ?Our grandson has long been a lover of all things bear and so when we gave him this he was absolutely over the moon particularly as we attached a letter from "Wolfie" purporting to come from Alaska that said " I have been so looking forward to coming all this way to live with you. I know you will look after me well. Love Wolfie xxxx".From that moment the pair of them are almost inseparable, save only when he has to go to school. Wolfie sleeps with him, sits next to him at meal times, whilst watching television and computer games, and on all family trips. Although because of his size he cannot go on a forthcoming trip to Orlando, our grandson has demanded that Wolfie comes and lives with us whilst he is in the USA and that we send daily photos of what Wolfie is up to, to him via the internet.Wolfie is exceedingly well made and lifelike - a quality toy that has brought so much pleasure and company to a young lad.
