The pieces are just the right size and was surprised to see letters on the back.After pulling the pieces apart and separating by colors I noticed this will not be an easy puzzle to put together without cheating (using the letters on the back). Will do my best not to use the letters. LOLI did start the puzzle and really am looking forward to just sitting down and to enjoy the time I will spend putting it together.I love doing puzzles but this was the worst one I've done. Not because it was hard but because the pieces were the same cut so they could be placed anywhere. More frustrating than fun.We do a lot of puzzles and had high hopes for this one. The good: The picture is beautiful and the pieces are thick and substantial. The bad: The pieces all have the same shape and most of them fit together interchangeably. This, coupled with a picture that is impressionistic and intentionally fuzzy in many places, means it is extremely difficult to know when pieces actually fit together. This company needs to vary their jigsaw pattern.very nicely made, but was not expecting it to be made of wood.. large nice to frame when finished/.however, decided it was actually too large for my wants so it was returned, nothing wrong with it..Very beautiful.
